Gift Giving
Gift giving is one of life's greatest joys. I love searching for a gift that I know will make someone squeal with happiness. But when life gets busy, and creativity is hard to tap into, it can feel impossible to brainstorm gift ideas. This is the part in the process when many people, including myself, turn to online sources for help. All anyone has to do is search for gift ideas, and hundreds of gift guides will pop up; however, these guides never seem to hit the mark, at least not for me.
I always find myself going from gift guide to gift guide, trying to find a gift worthy of whoever I am searching for, and I never end up finding anything that speaks to me. After all, how do you expect someone to be excited about receiving a gift that you aren’t excited to give? Most of these websites all have the same couple of gifts: coffee makers, Bombas socks, house slippers, and different reusable water bottles. and random monogrammed coffee mugs. Listen, I love a pair of Bombas socks, but the fact that they are in every gift guide is crazy to me.
In the end, I always go my own route and do my own research to find the best gift. Over the last couple of years, I have created numerous lists in the notes app on my phone of all the gift ideas I stumble upon while I am online shopping. All I did was create a note and attach product links to all the potential gifts I found. That way, when a special occasion comes up, I have a resource to turn to, making gift-buying easier. I think this is a great idea for everyone to pick up on because it only makes life easier, and everyone can do it. After all, we all want to give our loved ones gifts that feel meaningful and unique.
